What we collect

From organizers (people who create carpools): Your Apple ID identifier (provided by Sign in with Apple), the email address Apple shares with us, and any information you enter about your carpools — names of carpools, event dates and locations, and your own driving availability.

From participants (people who join carpools via a shared link): The name and child’s name you enter when joining, and the availability information you provide. We do not collect any account credentials or contact information from participants.

Automatically:Basic technical information needed to operate the service — IP address, device type, and timestamps of activity. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

How we use it

We use this information to operate the service: to generate carpool schedules, to let organizers manage their carpools, and to ensure the service works reliably. We use Anthropic’s Claude API to process the natural-language availability descriptions you provide. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

Where it lives

Your data is stored on servers operated by Fly.io in the United States. Apple may also store some information related to authentication and in-app purchases on its own servers per its standard policies.

Children

Carpool Scheduler is intended for use by adults who organize carpooling for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The names of children entered into the service by parents are used only to label schedules and are not used for any other purpose.

Your rights

You can delete a carpool you organized at any time, which removes all associated data including participants’ availability. If you want to delete your account entirely, contact us at hello@carpoolscheduler.com and we’ll handle it.
